Praise! The Storm has Passed

Praise the Lord! Thank you for your prayers! The thunderstorm that hit the Bay Area was significantly less dangerous than was anticipated. Instead of thousands of lightning strikes, we were hit by only a few. The winds also were not as strong and therefore did not spread the existing fires. No new fire starts were reported. The storm continued on its way without worsening the fires.

The areas of the evacuation orders have been reduced slightly. The fires are beginning to be a bit contained. These are all good and encouraging signs. However, the fires are continuing to burn, there are people who have already lost their homes, and the air quality is still awful.

Please continue to pray for the evacuated families, for the fire fighters and the first responders, and for a good solid rain without lightning.
